In just one day I witnessed various policemen encounters out in the field. This is not a rare site. My ethnographer mindset decided to stop and capture this everyday occurrence for the first time. Isn't the large police presence stupendous? Surely this ensures our feeling of safety. Hold up but why do you need more than four police officers for one man? This was just a day after the horrible Dallas police fatalities of course. However, everyday more than at least four police officers are needed for just one person. So it is apparent that police fear civilians and vice versa? Public police response time seems efficient. However people in the community say otherwise, if it is not a public disturbance the police won’t make it. So many questions. Not many answers. At the end of the day problems need solving in our community, and WE need to start discussing solutions as a WHOLE.
