Los Angeles City College was established on September 9, 1929. This college brings in a lot of diverse students all around from the city of Los Angeles; it even has a facility for people with seeing disabilities, where they can go and be able to learn sign language. The reason why I decided to use this picture is because students around the area and all around the LA Promise Zone go to this community college to get the education they need in order to transfer to a four year or higher education institution to create more opportunities in their lives. From talking to students I learned that these students go there in order to complete their classes and transfer to a higher education facility as aforementioned. This community college brings in students from different communities throughout Los Angeles in order to achieve and experience the East Hollywood community. This means that not only people are getting an education, but they can also learn something about the community since they come from a different area.
